Teaching Dossier

Explore the wonders of pedagogy

Welcome to my professional e-portfolio, a section of my website where I share my teaching journey from its early days at the Centre of Teaching & Learning (CTL) at the University of Windsor. This space provides insight into who I am as a person, educator, and lifelong learner.

My working-class roots are central to my identity and academic journey. My background feels like an invisible fragment that shapes me, but the profound effects of social class bias and class barriers are something that is rarely acknowledged. For this reason, I share my story with you.

Philosophy

“We admire elephants in part because they demonstrate what we consider the finest human traits: empathy, self-awareness, and social intelligence. But the way we treat them puts on display the very worst of human behaviour.”

Graydon Carter

Teaching Practices

My teaching is inspired by elephants and by the ongoing pursuit of empathy, self-awareness, and social intelligence which I infuse into my practice.
